People Will Surprise You

Wow, why is this Monday flying by??? I just spent 4 hours responding to emails and working on our calendar. Who do I need to talk to about adding hours into the day? Did you all have a good Easter weekend? We had an amazing few days off – which is exactly what we needed.

Friday:
Actually got all of my editing done. I guess that’s not technically time off, but it relaxes me.;)
Dinner with my friend Kristi at our favorite Thai restaurant. (note: I could eat tofu red curry for every meal and not get bored)

Saturday:
Walk & Yoga
Bulls Game (I don’t want to talk about it. Sweeping isn’t everything. lol)
Mani/Pedi
Then what I THOUGHT would be a dinner at Ruth’s Chris to celebrate my birthday with my hubby, cousin Alex and her hubby. Boy was a wrong.

So we get to her place (after sitting on the lovely 91 freeway) and before I can even walk into her place, I see these gorgeous pink and blue decorations. Then I have the majority of my greatest friends running and yelling at me.;)Needless to say it took my tachycardiac heart a while to calm down.;)Apparently they have been planning this party for months. I had NO idea! Thank you everyone for an amazing night of being with my favorite people. (& for those of you who weren’t able to be there, no worries! I felt your love).

Please don’t judge me for not having my camera out, I was prepared for a night out… and therefore did not have my camera gear. But thankfully my trust iPhone was there.:)

Nutella Cake!

Behold! Its Nutella Cake! (compliments of my pseudo little sister, Lizza from Ellie Gunn Desserts.

Flags from my sister, Krissy of Krissy Tee Designs

Had to include proof that I’m not always in my yoga pants & toms… I have been known to look human.;)& here are my amazing friends/family. Thank you for planning and working so so hard to give me a beautiful birthday celebration.

(Yes, that is my amazing cousin & a whole counter covered in casseroles – my friends and family know me well. Give me a good veggie dish and I am beyond happy!)

I don’t know why I’m always surprised when people go out of their way to do something nice… especially for me. : Its something I’m working on, don’t worry. I had such a fabulous time and am truly blessed by the people in my life. Thank you, thank you, thank you. And Charlie – you did a FABULOUS job of keeping it from me. I love you.

Sunday:
Charlie’s Graduation Portraits (later on the blog this week)
Signing our lease & packing. That’s right! We’re moving in t-minus 6 days!!!
More sports.;)(Go Chicago Blackhawks! Going to game 7!)

Ok, now its to my scheduled hour of packing up books! I have the goal set of a blog a day for this week. Keep me accountable people.

Love to you all! Have a fabulous rest of your Monday.

xoxo Katie
